VeggieTales Pistachio DVD Review

We love watching movies in our house. We especially love to watch VeggieTales Movies. Olivia has several of them and she loves to watch them over and over again to the point where I know the whole movie and story line in less than 4 days. How sad is that? Not too bad though because I don’t mind Olivia watching these movies at all. Well thanks to Big Idea, we were able to receive a complimentary copy of the newest VeggieTales DVD “Pistachio.”

Pistachio is a story of a little wooden boy who at the time refuses to listen to his father. It’s just like watching another movie but this one has moral values to it and also adds learning about God as well. We loved watching this movie because lately Olivia has been having a hard time listening to me and what I am asking of her and telling her. She is in the mode of Olivia Land as she calls it and just refuses to listen. Well I had enough one night and made her sit down and watch it. I love the lesson of the DVD because the story of the DVD is “Listening to your Parents.” Which is what Olivia must learn to do more often now. I highly recommend this DVD as well as all the other VeggieTales DVD’s as well. Pistachio is available for purchase at most retailers and we have even purchased a copy for my niece so that she can have one too.

A Good Review Coming Soon!

Lately I have been looking for toddler beds for my niece who is a little over 1 now. She I know will be needing one and I can’t wait. She is growing up so fast and before you know it she will be talking back to you and telling you ‘No!’ I have heard that word too many times this week already. I need a vacation I think!

Very soon I will be putting up here a nice review on a very nice product. I can’t wait to get it so that you all can hear what I thought of the product. Thank you & I’m back!

I wanted to thank all of my readers for being so patient with me. We have been lately dealing with sickness in our household for a little over 3 weeks now. Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Go for Gold DVD Review

My daughter loves to watch Nick Jr all the time and I think it’s because Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! is on all the time now a days. Well recently I was contacted about reviewing the latest DVD release of “Go for Gold” that features Michelle Kwan and Tiki Barber. Michelle Kwan in the movie is Michelle Kwanzleberry and Tiki Barber is Touchdown Tiki. This movie was a huge hit for my daughter and my best friend Tonya’s daughter as well. We love the fact that this movie is clean, has no foul language and has a definitely a spell on these girls as well. I think the first day that we received the DVD Olivia watched the movie 5 times in a row to the point where I could tell you what was going to happen next.

I asked Olivia what she felt about the DVD and she told me that she loves the movie. She hasn’t had it out of her personal dvd player at all except for today when we brought it over to Tonya’s house for the girls to watch while we were doing some crafts. We loved this DVD and we will definitely be watching it over and over. That’s one of the best Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Movies that my daughter has seen and she absolutely loves how this shows about being a friend, being positive and of course teaches you not to lie or tell tales. This DVD is available at major retailers now.

Traveling

Lately I am having withdrawal from traveling. My best friend Tonya and I went to Woodbridge, VA a few weeks ago and had a good time. We went to Ikea and also to Potomac Mills Mall. We had way too much fun while shopping in Ikea and the discussion on the way home was well worth it. Well I have been itching lately to do some more traveling again. When I do travel I love to go online and find a search engine that would help me find out where the best places to visit would be.

Some of the few places that I would love to go visit is to Miami, FL because I would right now love to leave the cold weather and travel to the deep south to feel the warmth. Another place that I have been thinking of taking Olivia to this summer would be to Pittsburgh, PA so that I can get a real philly cheese steak and if I can think straight I think Sesame Place is there too but I could be wrong on that end. Another place that I would love to go is to the Ikea in Charlotte, NC. I know several people that live in Charlotte and they have an amazing outlet shopping center there called Concord Mills. My aunt and uncle used to live in Concord and they have grown so much since I have last been there. What a road trip that would be for Tonya and I to take a road trip to and we could make it a girls weekend only! Loads of fun!

I can’t wait until the weather does turn warm so that I can do plenty of traveling to Maryland and to Myrtle Beach too. That is where all the fun begins. Plus I can take Olivia hopefully to the National Aquarium and also to the Smithsonian and to other places in DC. I’d love to take Olivia to a lot of places this summer and I am still planning on taking her to Disney World by myself. How awesome am I?

Upcoming Product Review..

I was contacted by Ashley from CSN Stores to do a wonderful product review on a fabulous product. I can’t wait to get it. Concerts

With the Spring and Summer coming up I am definitely looking forward to going to some concerts this year. The last concert that I went to was in 2005 to see Rascal Flatts and I would love to go see them again this year. Hopefully their ticket prices will not be so high to where I can’t go. Another artist that I’d love to go see this year would have to be Michael Buble and maybe I could find some Michael Buble Tickets cheap somewhere. His music is amazing and I even did a review on his album a few months ago. I love his bubbly songs and wish I could see him in concert for sure.

Another thing that I’m looking for is Disney On Ice Tickets so that I can take Olivia to see them this year. Olivia and I go every other year and this past year we didn’t go. But I’d love to take her again this year so that she too can enjoy watching some of her favorite characters in action. Maybe this year will include some Disney Princesses as well. We shall see though. One thing that I’m not looking for would be New York Knicks Tickets because I honestly could care less about basketball. It’s just not my thing. I’m not good at that sport and don’t fully understand it so I might just be bored or more confused in watching the game. What concerts would you like to do this year? I hope it’s something exciting!

Direct TV!

Recently we made the switch from Dish Network to Direct TV. I have to say that it was the best decision we could have made too. Especially for Olivia who with Dish didn’t have the PBS Sprout Channel which has a lot of learning shows on it. She is the one who is really into school and loves to learn no doubt about that. Well some of the other reasons that we decided to make the switch after having dish for over 13 years is the DIRECT TV Offers that they have going now. I love the fact that we have for only a short time left Showtime and Starz! I have watched so many new movies on there that I just haven’t seen. Plus some of the other DIRECT TV Specials that they have are amazing too! We found the specials on BlogTelevision.net!

We love the fact that we have so many more channel and I even have the Style Channel which I love watching. Another cool one that I have is the ID (Investigation Discovery) Channel which is all about forensics for sure! Very cool and interesting indeed. If you too are looking for a good satellite company you should definitely check out DIRECTV Specials and some of the different DIRECTTV specials. You might be pleasantly surprised that the cost is much less than Dish and cable and it will allow you to possibly have DVR as well for a cheaper price! We love DIRECT TV and we plan on keeping it for a long time!

Chevy Vehicles & More...

I have to say that I’ve recently had my eye on a few cars to say the least. I want to get a new vehicle but have been looking online to see which one would be my best bet. I have sevearl in mind and one of them happens to be chevrolet equinox. I really love the new design that they’ve done to them. The suv looks amazing and the gas mileage on them is amazing too for a small SUV. Another car that’s I’ve thought about is test driving a toyota prius although I’m not sure if I want to right now due to the massive recall on them that they’ve recently had. Might have to wait a while on that one for now.

Something else that I’ve recently saw but there is no way that I’d even remotely be able to drive would be a dodge viper. I like the design of the car but for me to have one with having a young child is out of the question. I’ll have to save that one for when I win the lottery and when Olivia is out of school and I can drive faster than I do now. The last vehicle that I’ve looked at is a lincoln but I would honestly only get a navigator or something like that. A lot of the lincoln’s look like old people cars and since I’m only in my late 20’s I’d rather not drive one around. hahaha. Just thinking of the future but I am seriously thinking of looking and test driving a Mazda5 because they are sweet cars and really sporty looking! Just what I want too!

Rainbow Brite is Back!

I’m so happy to see that Rainbow Brite is back out again! Rainbow Brite was one of my favorite dolls that I had when I was younger and I even had my mom make me a Rainbow Brite Cake one year for my birthday. I was so proud to have that doll too because it was the best one out there or that’s what I thought. I think I still have that doll somewhere up in the attic. Well I was sent a Rainbow Brite Adventure Pack in the mail a few weeks ago to allow my daughter to play with it and see what she thought of it. I was also sent a few extras to give out to other mothers which I have as well. The Adventure Pack included a Rainbow Brite animated short film, Games & Puzzles, The Rainbow Brite Theme Song, Meet Rainbow Brite & her Friends, and more. Olivia found this disc to be her favorite and for days I wasn’t able to use my computer because she was glued to playing the games and singing the song and printing the coloring pages out. She printed so many out that I’ve run out of black ink to tell you the truth. I had to make her stop and eventually turned off the printer!

This adventure pack CD Rom is awesome! I too played with it as well and fell in love with Rainbow Brite all over again. I can’t believe that it’s been 25 years since she first came out and now is back in style. You can also go online to learn more about Rainbow Brite and her friends and do more. Olivia found that out and was online in no time checking out what the website had to offer too. She has also asked for a Rainbow Brite doll for her birthday which is coming up so maybe I will get her that. She loves this CD and I guess I will have to have her play it more. I know she will!
