Have you ever been the person whose hard drive messes up and you’re thinking to yourself…gosh I hope I don’t lose everything on my computer? Well I’m that person. Last year just before my computer died on me I got the Blue Screen of Death and thought to myself I’m going to lose everything on it, including my songs, and my pictures and all of my documents for school. Luckily I got past that screen and got all my files off there but only if I had at the time had an automatic backup on my computer that would transfer my files over to there then I would have been fine and not worried about it too much.

I received a Clickfree Automatic Backup and it’s awesome. All you do is plug it into your computer transfer over the files you’d like to store like say your photos of the kids and your music. And perhaps those videos you have stored on your computer from you digital camera of the kids doing something sweet or crazy. Now you can get a 120GB Clickfree Automatic Backup for $119 and a 160GB one for $159. This is not a bad deal either because it’s very small and not bulky like some of those other external hard drives out there. I like how I can hook it up to 10 different computers too if need be. I will be using this one to hold all of my pictures from now until forever because I love to take pictures of Olivia. Plus it’s a great product to carry around with me and say if I’m at someones house and want to show them a picture then all I do is hook up this hard drive and presto you have your photos right there. Pretty neat if you ask me. The shipping is quick too when you order this directly from the company and they also carry other Clickfree products as well so you might want to check them out and get yourself an external hard drive to save your precious memories on.

I love this nifty backup device. Now I can take photos of my kids from both of our computers to show them to my parents when I next visit them. I am so excited!

Clickfree works fine for my files but it seems like overkill for such a small amount of data. What I would really like to be able to do is back up my entire hard drive. Is there a way to do tjis? Since the entire contents is only forty g there would be plenty of room.

[...] The box says it’s easy to use but don’t they all? According to the instructions all you have to do is plug the USB cable into the PC and everything else would just happen. How many times have we heard this with software and programs? Guess what? It actually worked. After about 30 seconds, the interface window popped up on my screen and ClickFree Automatic Backup did its thing. I didn’t have to do anything. It searched for files on it’s own and backed everything up. I didn’t have to click and drag, I didn’t have to install anything! According to Amazon it supports over 350 file types and I believe it. I have everything from MP3’s to AVI files on my PC and even some PHP files and everything was found and stored. You know how I suck at writing detailed reviews but you can find one here, another here and review by a normal blogger here [...]
