Back in April I decided to get up the nerve and to join Planet Fitness since it was a new and affordable gym that I could join. I had seen Planet Fitness in the news before and saw that a lot of my friends were joining and I figured why not give them a try. Because I had signed up before April 30th I got a really good deal. I got it to where I didn’t have to sign a contract, could have 24/7 access to the gym if I wanted to go out in the middle of the night and workout and also to have other amenities too. I had two options to choose from and that was the $10 plan or the $19.99 plan. The difference between these two plans were that with the Black Card ($19.99 plan) I not only got to use the tanning beds unlimited, but I also get to use the massage chairs, get 1/2 off the cooler drinks, can bring in a guest if I want to and also to use any other Planet Fitness if I choose to like if I go out of town or I move or something like that. Now onto the gym part.

I didn’t use the card immediately because I was a little timid in going in by myself. I instead waited until I didn’t have Olivia so that I could go and enjoy the gym without the hassle of trying to figure out who would watch Olivia when I do decide to go. Well I waited roughly a week to go and went with my mom who also joined but instead got the $10 plan. Not too bad either. I had a good time, it wasn’t too busy which was nice especially on a Saturday Morning too. I didn’t have Olivia that weekend which was nice too and it was right before we left for Disney World. I have to say that the gym set up is very nice and I love how the gym has enough equipment for everyone to have their chance in using the treadmills and elliptical. The gym was also maintained very nicely too. I know that they gym is new but still when you live in the town we live in sometimes it doesn’t stay nice for very long. LOL. No but really it’s nice to have a clean gym to go to. I like how it also has different stations too which makes working out for those who normally don’t enjoy it to be much more pleasant. I was one of those who hated to workout. Now that’s a completely different story!

The gym staff are all so pleasant too. I’ve never had an issue with any of them either. They are all helpful too which is nice. I have to say that overall this gym is the perfect place to workout that isn’t overbearing, won’t Judge You for the way you look by your weight or size or anything else and that it’s a clean place to workout in. I look forward now to every workout I do there and can’t wait until I go back on Wednesday to get fit! What a great place for Rocky Mount area to have!

Now that Spring is officially here I’ve been recently thinking about purchasing some window boxes to put up around the house and put on the porches. Now that Spring is officially here I’ve been recently thinking about purchasing some window boxes to put up around the house and put on the porches. I have always loved spring for the fact that everything is in full bloom and also that’s when my favorite flowers come out too. I love Tulips and would love to plant some this year too. I wasn’t too sure of where I was going to put them but if I have the window boxes I could put them there. The boxes all come in different sizes and shapes and I can only imagine what I could pick out to put around the house. I would love to have a few that are big and long to put on the back deck and to have some that I could put up in the front too. I was thinking that since I am thinking about growing and planting flowers maybe I should plant some for my grandparents too. I’m sure my grandmother would love that. Plus I could get Olivia to help out too which would be even better and a lot more fun for her. Gives her something to do. I have looked in several stores lately for the window boxes but have found that they are either out of them or that they are way too expensive for me.

I am even looking for window flower boxes for Olivia to decorate, like painting them and having a good time. Olivia does have ADHD and some OCD and so this would be a perfect project for her to do that is fun and educational for her as well. You never know what we could do in a weekends time especially since the weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately. This past weekend we had the perfect weather to plant but instead we decided to play outdoors, work on getting a base tan for our upcoming trip and also allowing Olivia to play in the pool. Maybe before we leave for our trip we can go ahead and plant the flowers just praying we don’t kill them in the process. How will you spend your summer?
