The Sweet By and By by Sara Evans is a book that I never thought I would like but I ended up loving the book. Have you ever tried to move on in your life without facing your past? I have done that several times in my life and it’s sometimes a little difficult to face the future and even the current events if your life because you sometimes are pushing away what has happened to your life in the past. I received “The Sweet’ By and By” written by Sara Evans from Thomas Nelson Publishing Group in order to help me write a review on this book. This book along is a wonderful book to read and definitely makes you rethink your life and the way it is heading. Sara Evans is A Best Selling Multi-Platinum Recording Artist in Country music and all of her songs have a story to tell of something that has happened in her life or something that she has a feeling will happen. This book is no different. It tells about Jade who is getting married whose life takes a turn for something that she never thought would happen. All of the events that comes up days before she is getting married has a heartfelt story to it.

I really enjoyed reading this book and had a hard time putting it down. I still have the book to this day sitting next to my bed for me to pick up and read if I get a chance to or when I am finished reading the other books that I am finished reading at the current time. I have already told others about this book and I hope that I will be able to read more books from Sara Evans soon! She’s gotten a talent not only for singing and writing songs but now has writing a book under her belt too. This book is available at Thomas Nelson online and also at Amazon.com. I highly recommend this book to those who are looking for a good book to sit down and read.

When I went to Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago I brought along this book because I needed something good to read while laying out on the beach and at the pool. That’s the good thing about going to the beach is not only to relax but to read a good book too. I was sent a book a few weeks before I left for the beach called “Perfectly Dateless“ by Kristin Billerbeck. The book is about how a teenage girl who hasn’t ever been on a date before is in her senior year of high school and she is on the hunt for a prom date. In all honesty this book and the character reminded me so much of myself when I was in school. Not only did I not have a boyfriend in high school but I also was on the hunt for a prom date my senior year as well. Well Daisy Crispin had to come up with a plan to find a date in 196 days but she had her daily and monthly challenges in getting that completed. Plus having parents that were very overprotective didn’t help either. The book is well written and I have to commend Kristin on how she wrote this book. It brought back memories from my own high school journey and wanted me to want to do it over again (if I could that is.) I’m not going to give away anymore information on what happens in the book but it’s filled with laughter, comedy and romance as well. It’s something that every teenage girl would want to read and those women who are looking to read something to bring back those precious memories that you have not thought about in years.

Perfectly Dateless will be available in July 2010 at your favorite Revell bookseller. I was sent a complimentary copy of this book from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group to be able to complete my review.

I have always enjoyed reading mystery books because you never know what will happen in the beginning, middle and end of the book. Well who would have ever thought of coming up with a wonderful idea in having a girly girl mystery? I really enjoyed reading this book and enjoyed trying to find out the mystery during the story line. I got the book from FSB Media to read. Here is an article that I’m sure every woman and girl would love to read! I highly recommend reading the book. You never know…you might enjoy the book as much as I did.

Great Places to Score a Discount Designer Handbag
By Dorothy Howell,
Author of Shoulder Bags and Shootings: A Haley Randolph Mystery

You don’t have to dress less-than-glam during these hard economic times — not when shopping centers and Internet sites are flush with places to snag a genuine designer handbag at a deeply discounted price.

Stores selling discounted handbags range from small, intimate vintage and consignment shops to large department stores, and even larger outlet malls. Internet sites offer a wide range of styles, colors, and designer names.

The Premium Outlets and the Tanger Outlets far and away have the largest concentration of discounted designer merchandise. Along with handbag stores such as Coach, Judith Leiber, Kate Spade and Dooney & Bourke, you’ll find a fantastic array of designer stores. Michael Kors, Liz Clairborne, Prada, DKNY, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Burberry, along with many others, carry everything from clothing to shoes, and a sampling of their handbag lines.

The Premium Outlets have over 40 locations nationwide, along with malls in Puerto Rico, Japan, Korea, and Mexico. Tanger Outl

et has over 30 locations in the U.S. Both offer AAA and AARP member discounts. Join th

eir VIP Club and visit their Web sites for coupons and special offers. Check out their seasonal sales weekends and national promotions for extra savings in addition to everyday discounts.

First, and in some cases, second quality mercha

ndise is available. You’ll have to bring along a magnifying glass to find flaws, though. Most are detectable only to the factory-trained eye.

These outlet stores are great places to shop. There’s no digging through clearance bins or blowing the dust off of merchandise that’s

been sitting around for months. The stores are immaculate, the shelves are orderly and well stocked. The staffs are knowledgeable and helpful, the same as you’ll find in their retail stores. Many times, after making your selection, the clerk can bring you a “fresh” bag from the stock room. Care is taken to wrap your treasure in the store’s s

ignature tissue paper, and deposit it into their trademark shopping bag.

Discounts typically run 20% to 40% off the MSRP, with deeper cuts of up to 65% off of sale and clearance items. Many of these stores

offer a full guarantee on their products, plus a money back return policy. But, as with any store, ask before you buy. Keep in mind that these outlet malls are huge, so wear comfortable shoes and plan for a full day of shopping.

Great bargains can be found in retail giants such as Macy’s and Dillard’s Department Stores. These discounts are usually offered seasonally so you’ll have to watch for them. The selection of these bags will b

e limited, but you can expect to pay from 20% to 30% off their retail prices.

Leading discount department stores such as Ross Dress For Less, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls offer designer handbags. The se

lection varies. You might find a Diane von Furstenberg, Betsy Johnson or a Fossil bag mixed in with their non-designer bags. Merchandise varies from location to location. These are no-frills stores. If you don’t mind digging for a good deal, you can expect to save 20% to 60% off of department store prices.

Some of the most sought-after designer brands are offered at Websites such as Rue LaLa and Gilt Group. These sites offer members-only pricing on luxury brands, usually for a limited time. Shop early. Expect to pay sales prices of up to 70% off retail.

The website e-bay, along with many other online sites, offers designer handbags at considerable savings. The selection is wide and varied. New as well as used purses are available. You’ll have to pay shipping costs, in most cases, so take that into consideration when looking at their prices.

Consignment stores and vintage shops are also good places to find a handbag at a low price. Keep in mind these purses are gently used. Designer names and selection will vary widely. Inventory fluctuates so it’s good to check back often. Savings can be considerable.

No matter where you choose to shop for your designer handbag, it’s important that you can distinguish a genuine bag from a knock-off. Read product descriptions carefully. Do your homework. Know the tell-tale signs

of a counterfeit bag. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

There’s no need to deny yourself the joy of sporting a designer handbag when so many places offer great merchandise and outstanding discounts to the everyday fashionista. Get out and see what’s available. Shop

ping for your new bag is half the fun!

I love reading books and this book has to be one of my new favorites! I love reading crime stories and this one is not only that but it’s also a Christian Novel too. The low down on Too Close to Home is there are teenagers who go missing and are turning up dead in a small southern town just like the one I live in the FBI sends a Secret Agent in to investigate. Samantha Cash uses her methods that are invisible and is the kind of agent who won’t give up until the case is closed. (Kind of like me if I were an FBI Agent.) Well Samantha ends up helping out a local Homicide detective, Connor Wolfe in cracking the case. This story ends up to be a great story and the suspense is there for sure. I am not going to give away any more information about the book but lets just say the killer gets a little too personal. This book will be available on April 10, 2010. Don’t miss it!!!

The author of this book is Lynette Eason who is an author of 8 novels and is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America. She and her husband and their 2 kids live in South Carolina. I can’t wait until the next novel to come out in this series. I know it’s going to be awesome!!!

I was sent this book from Revell (a divison of Baker Publishing Group) to be able to read and do a review on the book.

I enjoy reading new and exciting books. I received Alice in Wonderland and Philosophy to read and review. I really enjoyed this book because it wasn’t like most of the books that I have read. It’s got a lot of different things to think about in the book and to relate it to the movie that is now playing in theaters. I happened to go see this movie just as I received the book and thought it was a good movie but there were things in there that I just didn’t understand until the end of the movie. Go figure right? Well this book looks into different things like should the cheshire cat really be giving advice or why does Alice think the way she does? I have always enjoyed watching the animated version of Alice in Wonderland but after reading the book I will still enjoy it but only know that it is not real yet would this ever happen in real life. Probably not but it’s something to think about. Here is some information that I received from FSB Media who provided the complimentary book for me to review:

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has fascinated children and adults alike for generations. Why does Lewis Carroll introduce us to such oddities as a blue caterpillar who smokes a hookah, a cat whose grin remains after its head has faded away, and a White Queen who lives backward and remembers forward? Is it all just nonsense? Was Carroll under the influence? This book probes the deeper underlying meaning in the Alice books and reveals a world rich with philosophical life lessons. Tapping into some of the greatest philosophical minds that ever lived — Aristotle, Hume, Hobbes, and Nietzsche – Alice in Wonderland and Philosophy explores life’s ultimate questions through the eyes of perhaps the most endearing heroine in all of literature.

I have always been an emotional eater and I’m not going to deny that either. I’ve always had a problem with it so I’m thinking that’s why I have a hard time losing weight. Well thanks to FSB Associates for sending me a compliment copy of “The Serotonin Power Diet” by Judith J. Wurtman, PhD, and Nina T. Frusztajer, MD. I have really enjoyed reading this book. This book has helped me realize exactly what emotional eaters do and the habits they have. It’s also made me realize that it’s teaching you how to eat carbs and not be afraid of them. But it does teach you which carbs are good and which are bad. Did you know that Carbs is Nature’s own appetite suppressant? It helps out stop emotional overeating and halt antidepressant-associated weight gain. I have been diagnosed with having depression for most of my life and I never knew that eating the right carbs could help me lose the weight and stop overeating. How awesome is that? This book also includes over 75 recipes to help you get a head start on losing the weight. Using this 12 week proven program it will activate the appetite suppressant function of serotonin to stop the weight gain, allow you to regain control over emotional overeating and cravings, allow you to lose up to 2 lbs of real weight (not water) per week and will allow you to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am going to try this diet as soon as possible so that I too can start losing weight! How awesome is this book?

I’m so glad that the holiday’s are over with because I was so stressed out. I was stressed out trying to figure out where the money was going to come from for Christmas Gifts and having to pay bills. Thankfully this year though is a little different because not only do I have the job of doing reviews but I also work full time for an awesome local Chiropractor. Well I did have some income and shouldn’t have worried too much but I stress about a lot of things. I am now stressing because I am trying to figure out when I can do my taxes and how much I’m going to get back so that I can see if we can go to Disney World. Well I received a great book called “The SuperStress Solution” by Roberta Lee, M.D.. This book is a life changing book for all those who stress about life. It’s taught me several things to learn to let go but I guess I will always stress about something but not as bad. The SuperStress Solution will help you beat back the overload that is making you sick but it will make you feel better and will make you well indeed. I will continue to work on my stress overload but this book will always be by my side. Here is a little something from the Author:

To reduce stress, and avoid SuperStress, try this today:

Simple as it sounds; focused breathing — during which you think about your breath as you inhale and exhale — is a very effective stress-management technique. A slow, full breath triggers physical and cognitive changes that promote relaxation. Deep breathing helps release tension and anxiety and is a great energizer because the deeper the breath, the more your body is flooded with life-fueling oxygen. A full breath begins with the diaphragm pushing downward so that the stomach extends out. As your lungs fill with air, your chest expands. When you exhale, the reverse occurs — your chest settles first and then your stomach.

When anxiety strikes or you find yourself focusing on negative thoughts, immediately exhale through your mouth.

Now, open your lungs, and breathe in through your nose, drawing in a fresh, cleansing air to the count of four.

Exhale again slowly to the count of five.

Repeat four times.

I received this book through FSB Media to read and post me honest opinions on the book.

As a parent of a child who slept so well as an infant and now is almost 6 and doesn’t sleep well at all I know trying to find a good method and plan to help them sleep. Olivia never used to wake up as often as she does now for no apparent reason. She’ll just wake up and come in and tell me she can’t sleep or it’s time to get up the sun is shining and it’s only 3:30am. Not my cup of tea and not the way I want to wake up. Well I received this book from FSB Media called “The Sleep Lady’s Good Night, Sleep Tight: Gentle Proven Solutions to help your child Sleep Well and Wake up Happy” by Kim West, LCSW-C with Joanne Kenen to read and review. I found this book very helpful in many ways honestly. I found that not only was I doing the wrong thing to help calm Olivia down but I was stressing her and me out too causing it harder for her to sleep and stay asleep. West offers in this book a practical, easy-to-follow, and flexible approach to sleep that is gently on both you the parent and the child. And doesn’t require leaving your child alone to cry it out.

Now that I have read the book and understand what I was doing wrong and what needed to change it’s been a world of difference. Olivia now doesn’t fight to go to bed (except on weekends) and stays for the most part asleep in her room all night long. She wakes up a happy camper too in the morning causing her to have a good stress-free morning when getting ready for school. I’m so glad that I was able to read this book and I hope that you all will find this book helpful to keep your little ones asleep and happy in the mornings!

My sister for Christmas gave me this book because she not only knew that I love to read but it’s a book that she couldn’t put down either! “My Horizontal Life” by Chelsea Handler is not only true but the stories in the book about her one night stands are hilarious!!! I have absolutely loved reading this book and continue to go back and read the stories that I got a kick out of the most. If you are looking for a good book that you just can’t put down then this is the book for you. If you’re looking for a good laugh and some humor of someone else’s life then this is the book. From her first one night stand to her one night stand with a midget it’s just absolutely funny! Chelsea’s writing is done absolutely perfect and it’s like reading something that one of my girlfriends would write about. I highly suggest you all read this. It’s one of my favorite books that I pick up and read every now and then when I need a pick me up!
